The right to return a product

Thanks for shopping at madebyartep.eu. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, I'm here to help. By (European) law you have 14 calendar days from the date you received it to inform me about an item your not satisfied about. In most cases you can send it without questions asked. I'd like to know why but I can't refuse the return.

The product however, needs to be undamaged and unused. As the products are for baby's and toddlers I advice you not to give it to them as they can make the product dirty. By (European) law I'm allowed to deny the right to return the product if the product is dirty, damaged or visibly used and I will deny the refund. You will be charged for sending the same product back to you.

Return shipping

You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. The shipping costs for the return are non-­refundable. If a refund is agreed and the return costs is not fully covered, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

By (European) law you can pick your own way of returning the product. However, you are responsible for the product to return in the first place and to arrive undamaged (damage caused by transport). You are also responsible for being able to prove you send it in case it never arrives.

Refunds

If your return is approved, I will initiate a refund based on your original method of payment:

  • If you paid by card we have the information and can refund by card.
  • If you paid cash we need account details to refund.
  • If you paid by gift card we issue a new gift card for you.

You will receive the credit within 14 days after granting the refund. If the return is denied you will be informed about the denial of your request.

Excluded from the right to return

There are limits of what items can be returned. These are some examples but the list does not exclude other options:

  • Personalized items that can not be resold to others.
  • Damaged products by incorrect usage.
  • Damaged products by ignoring washing instructions.
  • Products that include items to suck, chew or bite on.
  • Products that have visible marks of unsanitary usage.

Proces in case you are not satisfied

I work hard to make my customers happy and although it can happen, it's not nice to see an unsatisfied customer. I like to help you as good as I can.

Step 1

You need to inform me within 14 days after receiving the product that you are not satisfied. The only way to do this is by sending an email to return@madebyartep.eu. I will reply with specific instructions on how to send the product.

Step 2

Within 14 days after informing me you will send the product at your own costs and risk back to me.

Step 3

I will inspect the returned product and within 14 days the full payment amount will be returned. This includes the initial sending costs (not the return costs!) but also additional costs.

Proces in case the product was damaged on arrival

Before sending the product to you I take pictures to be able to compare the product in case it is damaged on arrival.

Step 1

You need to inform me within 14 days after receiving the product that the product was damaged on arrival. The only way to do this is by sending an email to return@madebyartep.eu. It is vital to include pictures of the damaged product so I am able to compare the product how it was send and how it arrived.

Step 2

If the product was indeed damaged during sending I will reply with specific instructions on how to send the product. We also will agree on how to fix or replace the damaged product. The chances are high that it's a unique, one of a kind product and repairing it would be the preferred option. If repairing is not an option you can either wait so I can make you a new one or pick a product from stock.

If the product was damaged by incorrect usage there will be no replacement.

Step 3

Within 14 days after informing me you will send the product at your own costs and risk back to me. The costs for sending will be compensated by transferring the amount to your account. In case of damage by incorrect usage the sending costs will not be compensated and the damaged product will be returned at your costs.

Step 4

I will inspect the returned product and within 14 days a duplicate product will be returned at my expenses if available.

Proces in case of a manufacturing defect

Although I take great care in creating quality, a defect in a product can occur. If this is because of incorrect or extreme usage this warranty is void. The product should last longer than the warranty period. My estimate for the products is that they should last at least six (6) months. If, with normal usage, the product shows a manufacturing defect I will:

  • repair the product or;
  • replace the product is repairing is not possible or;
  • refund (a part of) the purchase price if the first two options are not available).

If a refund is the way to go you might not get the entire purchase amount refunded. I will explain why not. If the product fails after some months of normal usage

Step 1

You need to stop using the product immediately and inform me as soon as possible that the product has a manufacturing defect. The only way to do this is by sending an email to return@madebyartep.eu. It is vital to include pictures of the defect product so I am able to determinate the likely cause and thus avoiding unnecessarily sending the product.

If indeed a manufacturing defect occurred I will reply with specific instructions on how to send the product. We also will agree on how to fix or replace the product. The chances are high that it's a unique, one of a kind product and repairing it would be the preferred option. If repairing is not an option you can either wait so I can make you a new one or pick a product from stock.
